First Nations Health Managers Association Offers Intensive Course 100 - Health Issues and Systems Five Day Onsite Training Session in Saskatoon, SK: September 25-29, 2017

Registration Deadline: August 21, 2017 Location: Saskatoon, SK Contact: (613) 599-6070 First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) is offering course 100 – Health Issues and Systems in an intensive format. This is the first of five courses in the First Nations Health Manager Program leading to the Certified First Nations Health Managers (CFNHM) professional designation. About the Course The key topics for this course are:
  • History
  • Policy
  • Systems and Programs
  • Determinants
  • Epidemiology
  • Health Human Resources
  • Communities
  • Health Governance
  • Health Issues
  • Future Directions
This intensive course is delivered over a nine week period. Beginning on August 28, 2017, students should receive their course material and begin the required the required readings. The course concludes with a final assignment on October 23, 2017. The tuition cost for this course is $2,300 plus applicable taxes for members and for non-members the cost is $2,475. The intensive format involves a five day onsite session in Saskatoon, SK from Monday, September 25 to Friday, September 29, 2017. This course will be taught by one of our friendly, experienced, CFNHM instructors who is there to guide participants through the course material and ensure all participants leave with a valuable learning experience.
