Legal Office Manager
Administrative Officer R14

This role will  coordinate functions including office administration, financial, human resources, senior legal assistant/legal research, special projects, information technology, training, leave management; records management, facilities; and provide legal support services to Crown Counsel including redaction services (at the entry, advanced or senior level/special assignment level) for the purpose of disclosure to Defence Counsel. Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or equivalent.
  • Experience leading teams or supervising staff.
  • Experience training managerial and non-managerial staff in administrative and legal procedures and practices.
  • Experience operating computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office [MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint], Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, data base applications), and proficient keyboarding.
  • Experience extracting data and producing reports using a computerized system (or in a computerized environment).

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Experience working within a Crown Counsel office;
  • Supervisory training in a post-secondary institution.
