This role will coordinate functions including office administration, financial, human resources, senior legal assistant/legal research, special projects, information technology, training, leave management; records management, facilities; and provide legal support services to Crown Counsel including redaction services (at the entry, advanced or senior level/special assignment level) for the purpose of disclosure to Defence Counsel. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or equivalent.
- Experience leading teams or supervising staff.
- Experience training managerial and non-managerial staff in administrative and legal procedures and practices.
- Experience operating computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office [MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint], Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, data base applications), and proficient keyboarding.
- Experience extracting data and producing reports using a computerized system (or in a computerized environment).
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience working within a Crown Counsel office;
- Supervisory training in a post-secondary institution.
