The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy is responsible for the effective protection, management and conservation of B.C.’s water, land, air and living resources.
The Business Application Analyst will represent the program area in the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement and maintenance of program area business applications to meet current and future business needs.
This position provides business analysis services for assigned clients and projects, recommends technology solutions, prepares technical specifications and related documentation, coordinates system changes, develops educational material, provides user training, and determines or ensures technology support.
You are a skilled information gatherer, able to use the internet, industry databases and other sources to retrieve information and provide relevant findings. A highly effective communicator with conflict resolution skills, you analyze client information and deal with sensitive issues in a calm, productive manner.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration or related area and one (1) year related experience*; OR
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent and three (3) years of related experience*.
*Related Experience Must Include at least one of the following:
- Experience in working collaboratively with various stakeholders on business process change projects.
- Experience with business applications including user support, data integrity, administrative functions, troubleshooting and/or user acceptance testing.
- Experience providing training on business systems.
Preference May be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience in analyzing policies and procedures including providing options and recommendations in order to improve program effectiveness.
