The provincial government provides financial assistance to over 70,000 BC students annually.The Ministry is responsible for management and delivery of student financial assistance programs totaling more than $700 million in combined provincial and federal funding. The StudentAid BC (SABC) program area has oversight for the designation of institutions for the purposes of student financial assistance; this includes public and private post-secondary institutions within British Columbia as well as institutions outside the province and outside of the country. SABC assists eligible students with the cost of their post-secondary education and training through various ﬁnancial assistance programs, such as student loans, grants and scholarships.
The SABC Team Lead will supervise and lead the delivery of BC StudentAid services for a wide range of programs, overseeing the assessment of client eligibility in relation to program policies and/or guidelines, resolving escalated cases, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, contributing to reviews of service delivery policy and standards for new initiatives and improvements to existing programs.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- A diploma in business or public administration or related field (i.e. Commerce, financial, etc.); OR, an equivalent combination of education and three (3) years of experience may be considered. Preference may be given to applicants who have a degree in business or public administration or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience supervising and/or leading others in a service-oriented environment with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and/or regulations.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience providing client service in a service delivery environment.
- Experience working collaboratively with others on business changes and improvements.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience working with the policies and procedures governing a financial social program.
