If this position interests you and you meet the required criteria, we look forward to your applicationTransportation Investment Corporation’s (TI Corp) mandate is to provide procurement, delivery and commercial oversight of assigned major capital transportation projects. Currently, TI Corp is delivering the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project, the Broadway Subway Project and the Kicking Horse Canyon Project – Phase 4. TI Corp is a subsidiary of the BC Transportation Finance Authority (BCTFA) and is governed by a board of directors.

TI Corp is committed to building capacity internally and, by extension, within the BC Public Service.  The organization will apply robust and consistent controls and practices across the major transportation projects.

The Document Controller is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Major Project document control  and records management program in alignment with privacy, security and records management legislation, policy and standards.  The position includes document classification, storage, security, inventory, maintenance, retrieval and destruction. Works closely with Ministry privacy, security and records management staff and the Ministry Chief Information Officer (CIO) to support and advise senior management and program areas in their responsibility for information security and privacy protection

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • University degree in computer science, information management, records management, library science, or related field and related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Recent, related experience including:

  • Experience reviewing and implementing policies and standards in document control environments;
  • Experience interpreting and applying the provincial Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act;
  • Experience providing training in document control procedures;

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience using the Administrative Records Classification System (ARCS) and/or the Operational Records Classification System (ORCS)
  • Experience interpreting and applying additional related legislation and policy such as the Information Management Act
  • Experience using EDMRS – Electronic Database Records Management System (e.g. TRIM)
