Food Processing Analyst
Administrative Officer R21

One full time, permanent position is currently available and can be performed from Duncan, Victoria, or Abbotsford.

The Sector Development Branch, in the Ministry of Agriculture, is active in all major agriculture and seafood communities of British Columbia. The Food Processing Team, part of the Industry Development Unit, works to enhance the value added agrifood and seafood sectors growth, competitiveness, sustainability and adaptability.

The Food Processing Analyst manages a medium term project or several smaller scope projects with significant internal impact to the business. The Food Processing Analyst is accountable for defining and controlling all project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and specified quality.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in business administration, public administration, or equivalent.
  • Must be qualified to complete Project Management Professional Designation within 6 months of commencement of position.
  • Experience managing projects and/or project components.
  • Experience in directing the work of contracted and/or staff resources.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the food and beverage processing industry.
