In this position you will provide research and policy analysis/evaluation for the development of ministry and/or strategic policies and legislation towards achieving Environmental Protection Division priority goals and objectives.
This position provides key municipal solid waste data analysis, and researches and implements related policy tools and programs. Key responsibilities of this position include:
- conducting policy research and analysis on municipal solid waste related to issues management and improvement of service delivery; and
- supporting other policy areas within the branch.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Education & Experience
- Degree in environmental studies, resource management, applied science/natural sciences, public administration, communications, or equivalent and one (1) year of directly related experience*; OR
- Diploma in a related discipline and three (3) years of directly related experience*.
* Directly related experience must include the following:
- Experience in research and analysis to support policy development and/or implementation.
- Experience developing, managing and/or monitoring programs or projects.
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
- Experience in environmental protection or waste management of municipal solid waste (i.e. organics, recycling).
