The Workforce Compensation, Agreements and Beneficiary Services Division (WCABSD) is responsible for a strategic and integrated approach to workforce planning and management, professional regulation, negotiations and compensation and workforce research and analysis in support of the Ministry of Health (MOH) strategic direction for the health system.
The Compensation Policy and Programs Branch (CPPB) provides strategic leadership for a robust analytical approach to workforce planning and management, physician and labour negotiations and compensation policy for the health sector, including advanced economic and policy analysis, research, program monitoring and evaluation and other analytical support.
The Branch is responsible for the administration of the Medical Services Commission (MSC) Payment Schedule. Accordingly, the Branch identifies, describes, analyzes, develops and manages policy solutions and improvements to the provision of medically insured services and is responsible for Medical Services Plan (MSP) compensation policies and procedures. In addition, the Branch plays a major role in stakeholder engagement with the Doctors of BC on issues related to Fee for Service compensation for physicians.
The Branch also manages the MOH role of stewardship and oversight, ensuring that the direct service provided by the alternative service delivery organization (ASDO) enhances services to clients, and leverages future business processes and technologies. This includes development of policies and procedures associated with the business process/systems framework and for the claims processing associated with the Medical Services Plan.
The Program Analyst provides research and analysis/evaluation to support program and policy development in the Payment Schedule Administration component of the Compensation Policy and Programs Branch of the Ministry of Health.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and 1 years of progressive and recent, related experience* OR
- Degree in Public Administration, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and a minimum of 2 years progressive and recent, related experience* OR
- Diploma in Business, Public administration, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and a minimum of 3 years progressive and recent, related experience* OR
- Secondary School Graduation or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years progressive and recent, related experience *
- * Recent, related experience must include each of the following:
- Experience analysing information and providing advice and recommendations on a broad range of policy, program and service issues, preferably in the health care sector.
- Experience managing projects and/or project components.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience working with payment schedules or similar reimbursement systems
