The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development is responsible for stewardship of Provincial Crown land and natural resources, and protection of B.C.’s archaeological and heritage resources. Overseeing a land base of 94.8 million hectares, the Ministry supports the sustainable management of forest, mineral and land resources, the prosperity, viability and competitiveness of industries that use them, and public access for a wide range of activities such as hunting, fishing and recreation. The Ministry is responsible for policy development, operational management and implementation, and oversees over 50 statutes and associated regulations.
Reporting to either an included Senior Authorizations Specialist or Section Head, or to an excluded manager, the Senior Portfolio Administrator leads a team of technical and clerical staff, develops the operational infrastructure and ensures the effective functioning of the portfolio administration section.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree in Business Administration, Public Sector Management, Public Administration, Natural Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
- Experience working with and creating legal documents related to land use contracts, conveyance and/or land transactions.
- Experience supervising staff and leading projects.
- Experience working with cadastral maps, plans and legal descriptions.
- Experience working with real property and contract law, land conveyance procedures and land registry practices, and common and administrative law. (Preferred)
