The User Experience Specialist develops and maintains the Ministry of Agriculture’s website content (gov.bc.ca/agriculture and gov.bc.ca/agrifoodexports) with the goal of improving the client experience for agriculture and seafood producers, and food processors. The specialist will work collaboratively with subject matter experts and content owners using UX design techniques to identify business and client needs. With strong writing skills and the ability to work independently, the specialist will curate web content that helps meet those needs.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Degree or diploma in User Experience Design, English, Library Science, Computer Science, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Two years of recent experience including:
Experience practicing user experience design, planning and managing web properties including experience in information architecture, content development and interaction design or an equivalent combination of related experience, education or training.
Experience writing and editing content for the web, including working with technical and scientific content.
Experience working with a website content management system. Preference may be given to applicants with experience with CMS Lite.
