The Workforce Planning and Development Unit provides strategic information to support planning for the right mix and distribution of health professionals in British Columbia to meet patient and population health needs. The Branch works with a wide range of stakeholders to identify workforce issues, and to develop, implement and evaluate workforce planning strategies and programs to address those issues.
This role will independently manage assigned policy development projects focused on the review and revision of existing ministry programs or legislation.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in business administration, public administration, social sciences, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years progressive and recent, related experience* OR
- Diploma in public administration, business administration, health administration, law, economics, social work, social science or related field and a minimum of 3 years progressive and recent, related experience*
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
*Recent related work experience must include all the following:
- Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis
- Experience managing projects and/or project components
- Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content
Preference may be given to those candidates with:
- Experience with labour market or health sector policy analysis
- Experience managing projects with a data and/or forecasting focus
- Experience conducting stakeholder engagement or consultation
