The Real Property Division (RPD) provides everything needed to design, set up and manage a workplace including management of the Province’s real estate portfolio, office space, furniture, workplace project management, special-purpose facilities and client services.  Our client base includes mandated ministries as well as customers from the broader public sector.

Our real estate portfolio has 17 million square feet of space, including 9.6 million in approximately 660 owned buildings and 7.4 million in leased buildings.  The portfolio includes office space, court houses, health units, correctional centres, highways yards, forestry compounds, laboratories, warehouses, storage space and residences.

The Accommodation Management Branch (AcM) strategically plans and manages accommodation for ministry and the broader public sector clients within our owned and leased portfolios.

Our goal is to assist clients and government in achieving their strategic goals through the provision of cost-effective and efficient infrastructure services including Leasing Services, Furniture Management and Workplace Strategies + Planning.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Relevant post-secondary education (diploma/certificate) and three years’ experience in commercial or government real estate portfolio management industry or community real estate planning; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
  • Experience working in or with the commercial real estate industry.
  • Experience with managing commercial office space planning, project management and real estate project costing methods.
  • Experience working with government financial policies including fiscal year criteria, capital versus operating funding, and amortization guidelines.
  • Experience in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in defining and developing complex accommodation scenarios and solutions.
  • Experience in critical thinking/strategic planning for a large, diverse real estate portfolio.
  • Experience managing a diverse range of client space requests.
