RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia. RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help regulate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.
The Team Lead, Driver Medical Fitness is accountable for ensuring that a sound framework is established and adhered to in order for independent adjudicators to have the necessary tools and training to make informed, consistent licensing decisions. Licensing decisions must be made in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations, the principles and guidelines established by the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles and the rules of natural justice and administrative fairness.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree, diploma or post-secondary education in law, social science, public or business administration, labour relations or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience supervising staff or leading a team in a union environment including assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance plans and approval of leave.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and policy in complex situations.
- Demonstrated experience having accountability and responsibility for key human resource functions (e.g. participates in recruitment and selection, performance management, behavior management, STIIP management and performance evaluation and assessment).
- Experience implementing operational program policies and procedures.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in principles of administrative law and natural justice.
