Job Summary:
Under the supervision of Arena Supervisor, the Arena Operator greets visitors, establishes nature of business and directs them to appropriate area or person. He/she monitors and maintains the ice rink, opens and closes the facility, ensures safety and enforces rules concerning conduct and use of equipment. The Arena also maintains facility logs. Flood the rink surface at specified intervals using Zamboni, and maintain good ice conditions by scraping, shoveling, brushing and hosing the ice.
Qualifications:
High school diploma AND some years experience in a related field
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered
AND
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
Valid driver’s license class G (Province)
Provincial Recreation Facilities Association Certified Ice Technician, an asset

Language Requirement: English Mandatory

Experience Requirements:
• In ice rink maintenance
• In operating ice rink equipment
• In providing customer service

Salary: $19.20/hr – $20.67/hr
