The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) leads strategy, policy and standards for telecommunications, information technology, IT security and the management of the IM/IT investment portfolio for the Province. The OCIO is accountable for the operation of a broad government technology infrastructure as a key enabler in support of business transformation for Government, Broader Public Sector organizations and through participation inter-jurisdictionally on initiatives to evolve technology and business.
The primary purpose of the Director, Business & Strategy Alignment, is to be a digital broker and enhance business relationships with clients within a large, complex sector. The Director, BSA: engages with Ministries to collaborate on strategies in support of Ministry, OCIO and corporate business outcomes; assesses and aggregates new service demand to align with corporate strategic direction; makes connections for their key accounts to drive forward on digital; finds and shares digital solutions that can be used to solve business challenges across government; and, informs and educates all OCIO branches on their sector’s strategy, business outcomes and business impacts.
One of the key initiatives that the BSA team has produced is the let’sCONNECT event series which provides opportunities throughout the year to keep the technology, innovation and business convergence conversations and collaboration moving along, across government.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, public administration, or related field; AND a minimum of 3 years of experience in each of the areas indicated below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in leadership roles in a professional service, sales, marketing or stakeholder management environment.
- Experience leading and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients in a customer service environment.
- Experience in creating and delivering executive-level presentations for the purpose of decision making.
- Experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and leading organizational change associated with implementation.
Preference may be given to applicants who have any of the following:
- Experience in marketing.
- Experience in change management.
- Experience working collaboratively on cross-government initiatives.
