The Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) is a funding program that assists eligible families with the cost of child care. The Service Delivery Manager works in an operational environment and is an integral part of the ACCB team leading service delivery of up to 70 staff. The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for maintaining operational service levels and standards while engaging and motivating staff, developing key performance indicators and monitoring for continuous improvement. This role participates in strategic and operational planning, and recommends program change to ensure government/ministry objectives are achieved.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in providing inspiring and supportive leadership to a front-line client service organization either in the public or private sector. You are a top performer with a high level of personal integrity, a strong work ethic and an understanding of leading strategies.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include 3 years in each of the following:

  • Experience supervising, leading and mentoring large (5 or more) teams, including subordinate supervisors.
  • Experience making data informed decisions including analyzing information, developing key performance indicators, making recommendations, implementing, and monitoring progress.
  • Experience writing information notes, briefing notes, decision notes, or equivalent, for senior leadership.
  • Experience navigating, communicating professionally and effectively, and maintaining collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including staff, senior leadership and clients.
  • Experience leading projects and project teams.
  • Experience working directly with other agencies, government entities, and clients in a service delivery environment.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policy or regulations.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience leading in a service delivery or program delivery environment.
  • Experience leading teams of 30 or more.
  • Experience leading strategic and business planning.
  • Experience working with BC Child Care subsidy legislation (i.e., Child, Family, Community Service Act and regulation) and related legislation (e.g., Employment Assistance Act), policies and procedures.
