Job Summary

Communications Manager, Gender Equity
Management OIC Level 03

Government Communications and Public Engagement, Finance Communications Office, is actively seeking an experienced communications manager with superior management skills, a positive leadership style and a proven track record for getting the job done, to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment.

 

Working directly with the Communications Director, this position manages the Gender Equity file with the Ministry of Finance Communications. Functioning at a senior level, the Communications Manager provides management expertise, advice and direction to executive, employees and ministry clients to ensure the consistent and effective implementation of strategic communications plans, policies, procedures and standards throughout the ministry.

 

Superior communications skills (written and oral), a capacity for critical thinking, supervisory experience or training and a proven ability to manage complex files and projects as a team leader will be the key to your success in this position.

  • Post-secondary degree in a communications related field (journalism, public relations, political science, writing, English, marketing, etc.)
  • 3-7 years experience in progressively more responsible communications positions.
  • Or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job experience.
  • Supervisory experience or supervisory training.
  • Experience in a wide range of communications shops.
