Provincial Treasury enables government to collect and disburse funds through financial transactions, and, on behalf of the provincial public sector, to borrow and manage debt and provide risk management and insurance services.
Under the authority of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and government core policy and procedures, the Banking and Cash Management Branch (BCM) is responsible for the banking infrastructure and services that enable government to complete financial transactions with citizens, customers, vendors and employees and ensures the effective management of government funds related to these transactions.
Also under authority of the FAA, the Debt Management Branch (DMB) is a centralized borrowing authority which acts on behalf of the Minister of Finance as fiscal agent ,borrowing from domestic and international capital markets , managing foreign currency and interest rate risks , settling debt transactions and initiating debt service payments, and managing the province’s investor and credit rating relationships.
The Risk Management Branch ( RMB ) and Government Security Office is the central risk management agency which formulates policy, provides advice and delivers programs to insure public sector assets and program liabilities. Under the FAA, the ED, RMB is authorized to approve indemnities given by government and government corporations.
The Senior Manager, Project Management provides consultation, business and process analysis, professional expertise, and coordination in the delivery of consulting and project management services to the business branches in Provincial Treasury, Ministry of Finance.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree in computer science or related field, AND Minimum five years’ experience as a business analyst and/or project manager; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- PMP designation or equivalent designation or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing multiple internal clients.
- Preference may be given to experience with LEAN methodologies.
- Preference may be given to both business analysis and project management experience.
- Preference may be given to experience in treasury operations and/or management.
