The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans transportation networks, provides transportation services and infrastructure, develops and implements transportation policies and administers many related acts and regulations as well as federal-provincial funding programs. The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage a team of project managers and consultants. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the development, implementation and evaluation of components of a major transportation project. The Senior Project Manager will lead multi-discipline components of the major project with key deliverables.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration, public administration, engineering, related field or equivalent with a minimum 4 years of recent* related experience OR
Diploma with a minimum 6 years of recent* related experience.
*Recent is defined as within the last 10 years.
Related experience must include all of the following:
Experience leading new large provincial projects involving a diverse range of project portfolios to schedule and milestones.
Experience in developing partnerships, and alternate procurement, including design/build, concession agreements and public-private partnerships.
Experience in supervising/leading in a professional environment, including managing the workload of other project managers and consultants, managing employee performance, coaching and mentoring, goal setting, and leading the resolution of HR/performance issues.
Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders and engagement sessions.
Experience in budget management.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
Operational experience with major infrastructure projects.
Experience with transportation projects.
Experience with property acquisitions, First Nations Consultation and Environmental Assessment processes.
