Job Summary

Director, Analytics, Business Intelligence and Contracts
Management Band 4

This position is excluded from union membership.
This position can be performed virtually in any SDPR ministry office (subject to operational requirements and space availability), locations may include but are not limited to: Campbell River, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Nanaimo, Langley, Abbotsford, Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Nelson, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Fort St John.

The Operations Support Branch provides centralized operational support services, including business intelligence, human resources, contracts, finance, facilities and asset management for the Service Delivery Division (over 1400 employees, 83 locations, and $446M budget) in the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.

The Director, Analytics, Business Intelligence and Contracts is responsible for providing leadership to teams providing business intelligence, analytics, workforce scheduling ,and contract procurement and management to support delivery of critical social services.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, or Business Analytics and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive related experience OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Progressive related experience must include:

  • Experience overseeing the delivery of operations support services such as, contract management and business intelligence.
  • Experience establishing accountability frameworks, monitoring performance of programs and services, and achieving results.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Experience building relationships with clients in order to understand and deliver on needs.
