The Information Systems Branch (ISB) provides IM/IT planning, architecture, project support, application development, IT security, technology and information support services to the Economy Sector.

The Director, Application Services reports directly to the Ministry Chief Information Officer and provides services and leadership to support the delivery of application development & related services including Database Management, Information Security, Web services, Code Management and Application Implementation Management. Related to this, the Director manages several project and service teams, including control of financial and human resources as well as providing support in strategic decision making and corporate planning initiatives.  If you are looking for an exciting leadership opportunity and possess the required qualifications, we look forward to your application.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, commerce, business administration, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a business and technical environment.
  • Experience in a management capacity, accountable for one or more technical functions in a public organization or private sector business.
  • Experience in a complex technology-enabled environment.
  • Experience leading and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients in a customer service environment.
  • Experience leading teams through change.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who have Certification in Information Security Management.
