The Director is responsible for leading projects and initiatives within Branch which promote multiculturalism, challenge racism and hate, and encourage diversity and inclusion. A key focus of this position will be to lead cross-ministry discussions and develop collaborative strategies on addressing racism and hate in the province.
Reporting to the Executive Director Multiculturalism, the Director will develop strategies aligned with the Multiculturalism Act and ministry service plan and other related government strategies to ensure multiculturalism and anti-racism initiatives meet the policies and operational needs of the BC Government.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Master’s Degree in social science, business or public administration, cross-cultural communications, human resource management or a related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience in a senior management role leading the design, development and implementation of programs or projects in a public sector environment.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and executives in support of corporate goals.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience researching and/or developing strategies to address racism and hate.
