The Financial Institutions Commission (FICOM) safeguards confidence and stability in British Columbia´s financial sector by protecting consumers from undue loss and unfair market conduct. FICOM is a regulatory agency of the British Columbia Government. FICOM is responsible for administering nine statutes that regulate the pension, financial services and mortgage brokers sectors in British Columbia.
The Managing Director (MD) will act as the relationship manager for central credit unions that provide support and services to BC credit unions. The MD will serve as the key account manager and maintain accurate and up-to-date risk assessments, and lead reviews and monitoring activities for assigned institutions.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Degree in a field related to business, finance, economics, law or equivalent.
Master’s degree and/or professional designations (CFA, FRM, CPA, ICD.D, C.Dir) are preferred.
At least 5 years’ progressive management experience (staff and projects) in a risk and/or regulatory environment within the financial services sector.
Preference may be given to applicants with credit union and/or banking experience.
