Call Center Officer

The Canadian Museum of History is looking for an experienced Call Center Officer to undertake the promotion of the Canadian Museum of History and Canadian War Museum products while ensuring a high degree of client services. Working within the Visitor Services and Corporrate Security division and reporting to the Manager, Ticketing and Reservations, your key responsibilities will include:
Managing a variety of incoming and outgoing telephone calls;
Managing group reservations for all services and programs offered at the Canadian Museum of History and at the Canadian War Museum;
Selling and undertaking the promotion of the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum products and services;
Responding to all requests for information.
Successful candidates have the following qualifications, which are a deciding measure of success for this challenging opportunity:
A minimum of one (1) year experience in:
Sales and/or telephone sales (telemarketing);
Interacting with a diverse clientele (e.g. teachers, tourists, etc.);
Working in a Call Centre;
The use of computer software such as Microsoft Suite, database management and Galaxy ticketing system (or other similar system).
Scheduling group reservations.
Client services practices;
Programs and activities of the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum;
Other conditions of employment:
Remain available to work shifts (weekdays, weekends, evenings and general holidays);
Required to wear the Canadian Museum of History issued uniform.

Compensation: $43,175 – $56,052 (Job classification: E3)
