Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Practice Consultant – Wound, Ostomy & Continence (WOC) to join us in Vernon, BC. This is a temporary part time position until December, 2019 or return of incumbent.

The Clinical Practice Consultant – WOC practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Clinical Practice Consultant -WOC is to champion, guide and lead the delivery of a comprehensive Wound, Ostomy & Continence program for clients. The Clinical Practice Consultant – WOC will promote the delivery of quality client care by providing clinical consultation and expertise, education and direction based on a specialized body of knowledge to interdisciplinary team members. This role will collaborate with other Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC); research and evaluate current wound, ostomy & continence standards and facilitate the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, education programs for staff and quality improvement initiatives, incorporating evidence based ‘best practices’.

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).

Successful completion of the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Institute’s Wound, Ostomy & Continence Education Program, three years recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid motor vehicle license.
