Under the general supervision of the District Services Manager, the position provides a broad range of clerical, administrative and financial services to all district staff. The incumbent may be required to carry out duties in any or all areas of reception, finance, regulatory and administrative support.
The District Clerk reports directly to the District Services Manager and is a key member of the Finance & Administration team. The position provides various clerical, financial, secretarial and administrative services to District employees and external clients.
Known as “the Goldpan City”, Quesnel has a rich past connected to the Cariboo gold rush, and is also known for its agricultural beauty. Home to many farms and ranches, Quesnel hosts regular events such as The Quesnel Old Time Farmers’ Market. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary School Graduation or equivalent (GED).
- A combination of two (2) years’ clerical/administrative support experience, education and/or training, preferably gained in an office setting.
- Experience, education and/or training in basic accounting and office administration.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computers using word processing, spreadsheets and other standard computer applications.
