This posting is to establish an eligibility list for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
There is currently one (1) temporary opportunity available with an anticipated end date of September 30, 2020. This temporary opportunity may become permanent.

There are three Financial Clerk positions, Inmate Trust, Payroll, and Accounts Payable and incumbents may rotate through each position. The details of the Inmate Trust, Payroll, and Accounts Payable positions and their associated duties are listed herein. The incumbents in this position as required may rotate through a variety of tasks in support of the business office including: entering invoices for payment, collecting monies, entering leave management transactions for employees, and providing trust account services for incarcerated inmates. This position may perform various other duties such as providing administrative support to the Purchasing Officer, Switchboard, and Sentence management unit as and when required.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

• High school graduation or grade 12 equivalency;
• Minimum 2 years financial work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education;
• Experience with MS Office computer applications – Word and Excel;
• Experience with a computer based financial system;
• Experience keyboarding and data entry, with accuracy at 40 wpm.
• Experience handling cash transactions.

Preference may be given to applicants with with the following experience:

• 3 or more years financial work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education;
• Corporate Financial System (CAS)
• ORACLE
• iProcurement
• Time and Leave Management program
• CORNET
