The Affordable Child Care Benefit assists families with the cost of child care. As a program adjudicator, you have a vital role in helping families across BC by assessing their eligibility under the legislation and program policy, initiate benefit plans and respond to inquiries from parents and child care providers. The work requires a high attention to detail and quality customer service skills. A typical workday includes performing computer-based work and communicating via telephone.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a front-line customer service role.
  • Experience working with computer-based applications and programs (databases, office suite, etc) in a professional, academic or personal capacity.
  • Experience providing clear, concise, verbal and written communication.
  • Experience reviewing information and using resources to make independent decisions.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience making decisions within established corporate guidelines, legislation or policy.
