The Public Guardian and Trustee (“PGT”) of British Columbia is an independent statutory corporation sole and acts under provincial legislation to protect the legal rights and interests of children, vulnerable adults and deceased and missing persons.

The Administrative Coordinator, Child & Youth Services, plans, develops and coordinates all administrative services for the Director and Division to ensure administrative support and coordination for PGT. Establishes and maintains effective liaison with PGT executive, divisional management, stakeholders and regional offices; and supports two Managers in Child & Youth Services. The Administrative Coordinator provides all human resources support for the division as well as tracking and maintaining divisional statistics. The Administrative Coordinator works in a fast pace and challenging environment with competing deadlines and work assignments; where attention to detail and relationships are critical to the success of the role.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, plus four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or
• Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration preferred and
• Experience with Microsoft Office products at the Advanced level;
• Experience with SharePoint sites at the Intermediate level and other desktop applications such as Adobe InDesign is preferred;
• Experience writing business communication materials targeted at varied audiences;
• Experience providing administrative and financial support to a team; and
• Experience working in a high paced environment with a demanding workload and shifting priorities.
