The Branch Coordinator ensures the effective functioning of the Branch, maintaining links and contacts within the other branches in the Office of the Provincial Director of Child Welfare.

The role of the Branch Coordinator is to provide support to branch management and staff and coordinate office administration functions, human resources, payroll, records management, facilities, asset management

The Branch Coordinator position reports directly to the Deputy Director of Child Welfare, Executive Director.  The Branch Coordinator works in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and provides support to the branch leadership team and staff and coordinates human resources including hiring competitions for approximately 25 staff positions, payroll, branch budget, records management, facilities and asset management, project management support services and event coordination.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education and related experience:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience providing senior administrative support to management.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with financial transactions/activities (e.g. accounts payable, purchasing, petty cash reconciliation, etc.).
  • Experience with keyboarding, word processing, spread-sheeting, databases and other standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with records management (ARCS/ORCS, CRMS, LAN).

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in human resources, payroll and leave management.
  • Experience working in a virtual environment.
  • Experience with project planning, coordination and organization of meetings and events.
  • Experience providing project management support services.
