The Program Assistant provides a variety of office administrative, secretarial and financial support services for the branch including coordinating the day to day priorities of the manager, and providing liaison with ministry executive offices.

Job Requirements: 

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Secondary school graduation or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year (2 years preferred) administrative/clerical/reception experience working in a professional office environment, including:
    • Preparing, editing and proofreading routine correspondence;
    • Responding to general inquiries in person, via e-mail and phone calls;
    • Arranging and scheduling meetings using an electronic calendar;
    • Providing reception coverage
  • Experience using word processing and standard applications, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Preference may be given for:

  • Certificate or diploma in office administration or in a related field.
  • Experience booking travel arrangements and processing financial material for reimbursement.
  • Experience in Time and Leave (TLAM).
  • Experience in CAS iExpense.
  • Experience in records management using systems such as ARCs/ORCs or eTrim.
  • Experience using correspondence tracking system CLIFF.
