Services to Adults delivers a wide range of sophisticated, individualized, committee, trustee, and other services to or on behalf of vulnerable adults who require assistance in managing and making decisions about their personal, financial and legal affairs.  Vulnerable adults may require assistance by reason of mental illness, mental disability, traumatic brain injuries and diseases of aging.

Reporting to the Manager, Estate Liaison, the Estate Liaison Financial Officer (ELFO) is responsible for examining and reporting on the results of internal quality assurance projects and file reviews within the Department. The reports of the ELFO are an important input to management decision-making and to fulfilling the PGT’s statutory responsibility for good internal control and efficient and effective financial, administrative and operational programs.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education and Experience

  • Degree in accounting, business administration, financial management or another related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience related to financial reviews and/or audits
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience related to tax including taxes at death and estate taxes.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing the work of staff (regarding financial reviews/audits)
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting complex financial and tax situations


  • Working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred
  • Experience working in a setting oriented towards providing services to vulnerable people or people with disabilities preferred
