– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
– College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years is required;
– 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience including supervisory/management experience in the food service industry is required;
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in Mandarin is an asset

Job duties

Service management:
– Organize inventory monthly, place order for ingredients, foods, supplies and equipment to ensure that all materials are in stock in the store;
– Direct and control daily operations by filling positions behind the bar;
– Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures;
– Address customers’ complaints or concerns;
– Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;
– Ensure to achieve a high score for the head office inspection;
– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations;
– Provide customer service as needed;
– Take responsibility for whole store activities

Staff management:
– Conduct recruitment activity and hire new staff;
– Schedule staff weekly to ensure proper staffing levels for daily operations;
– Conduct staff performance reviews and evaluations;
– Discuss and determine staff promotion, together with the owner and/or the regional managers;
– Select “Employee of the Month” and organize monthly staff events;
– Train and supervise staff when needed;
– Monitor staff work schedules and staff performance on a daily basis;
– Co-ordinate, assign and review work;
– Complete and update staff training manuals

Operation management/ marketing:
– Track and monitor sales and profitability;
– Participate in marketing plans and implementation to achieve the targets for sales growth and the expense-to-sales ratio;
– Prepare and make bank deposits when required;
– Go to the bank to get cash for the store when required;
– Prepare weekly sales report, monthly costs report, incoming inventory orders report and “End of Month” report for the owner and/or the head office;
– Search local advertising and events to participate;
– Solve operational issues, together with the regional managers
– Develop and implement marketing, advertising and sales strategies;
– Balance cash when needed
