Hotel Managing Supervisor

We are presently looking to fill a permanent Hotel Managing Supervisor Position for our Quality Inn Hotel in Leamington, Ontario

 

Location of Work: 279 Erie Street South, Leamington, Ontario, N8H 3C4

 

Job Details:

Permanent, full-time, 44 hours/week

$20/hour; Employee benefits package includes Disability Insurance, Dental Insurance, Extended Medical Insurance, and Vision Care Coverage

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience by directing, organizing, and controlling the operations at our Quality Inn Hotel

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee day-to-day staff operations at a 59-room hotel
  • Supervise front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast staff
  • Greet guests and administer reservations
  • Receive and resolving guest complaints as a Supervisor-On-Duty
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of staff members;
  • Ensure that labour standards requirements are met and conduct Ministry of Health and Safety training;
  • Co-ordinate the activities of hotel staff to ensure that standards of quality and cleanliness are met in all guest rooms and public areas
  • Examine guest rooms and public areas to assess the need for repair and maintenance of equipment and furniture and make arrangements as necessary;
  • Maintain adequate financial records, periodic reports, budgets, payroll, and schedules.
  • May be required to perform the same duties as staff as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

 

Education – Completion of Secondary School is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline

 

Experience – Minimum of two years of experience in guest services, business management, or sales. Past experience in a hotel environment is preferred.

 

Skills – Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Strong data analysis skills and experience measuring financial potential.
