Position Summary
Do you have a passion for recruitment? Are you able to handle high volumes of work, have solid organization skills and can juggle multiple priorities and tasks? Interior Health Recruitment team is looking for a permanent full time HR Assistant to support all aspects of recruitment. This position is based out of our new Community Health and Services Centre office in downtown Kelowna.

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment, the HR Assistant is responsible for administrative duties related to recruitment, including the production of offer letters and new hire packages as well as responding to routine email and telephone inquiring to the department. They will work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team managing a high volume of work. The HR Assistant will be someone who can demonstrate solid organizational skills and that can juggle multiple competing priorities.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Producing offer letters based on position and site, incorporating additional position-specific details as directed by the Recruiters
• Verification of offer details (e.g. registration numbers, licenses/certification sites etc.)
• Collecting, organizing & reporting vacancy and other data to support the development of recruitment metrics
• Supporting the hiring manager & recruiter in creation of recruitment focused guides
• Responding to routine queries received by the department through email and phone
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
• Graduation from a recognized secretarial/office assistant program
• A minimum of one year of recent, related experience
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Skills & Abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other program-specific software. Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher would also be beneficial.

• Ability to effectively organize workload and multitask to meet a variety of deadlines with a high level of detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and set priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people from all levels of the organization and community.
