An excellent opportunity to join this dynamic team and apply your technological skillsThe Information Systems Branch (ISB) is responsible for providing strategic IM/IT leadership for the Justice and Public Safety Sector, and for the provision of IM/IT services to support our sector program areas and stakeholders. The office includes five divisions: MCIO Division, Strategic Projects Division, Client Services Division, IT Security, Privacy & Operations Division, and the Strategic Initiatives Division.
The Strategic Initiatives Division in ISB is responsible to provide guidance and support to ministry clients (projects and business areas) to help them deliver and improve solutions for citizens, staff and partners. The division does this through analysis, design and delivery of technical and business solutions and through the development of key building blocks for business transformation. These can range from business designs and process models to citizen journey maps to integration architectures to application platforms and new digital services.
Within the division, the Service Design team is responsible for providing consultation and design services to business areas across the sector. These services include web design and development and content creation. Current platforms in use include CMS Lite, Microsoft SharePoint and Oracle Portal.
The Web Administrator provides technical expertise in the planning and management of the ministry’s intranet portal and internet web pages across multiple platforms and multiple ministries, including design, configuration, implementation and operational support for ministry clients.
This position requires experience in User Experience (UX) design and/or Human-centred design (HCD) approaches to ensure improvements of services for citizens, staff and stakeholders are based on user needs, and plays a key role in assisting with providing advice to managers, staff and clients in the utilization of web technology and services to meet user needs and business objectives.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Diploma, certification in the computer science field or a combination of related experience and education may be considered.
- A minimum experience of one year or more in the following:
- Experience designing and creating web pages in Oracle Portal, Microsoft SharePoint and HTML editors (e.g. Dreamweaver.)
- Experience with graphic design, programming, and maintenance of web sites.
- Experience with UX and/or HCD methodologies and approaches
