This position in located in the Ministry of Finance, Information Management Branch and reports to the Manager of IM IT Governance and Strategy.  The work environment is complex.  The Ministry supports multiple disparate organizations in conjunction with multiple service providers. The Governance and Strategy Analyst supports the Project Management Office, provides advice to IMB Management, develops and implements continuous process improvements and assists with managing project budgets.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in computer science or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Formal project management training and/or designation (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
  • 1 year (3 years preferred) minimum combined experience in:
    • Experience managing IM/IT projects.
    • Experience in developing briefing notes, business cases, concept cases and presentations for Management and Ministry Executive.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience:

  • One-year experience with strategic planning and business transformation in a technology-dependent business area or information systems branch.
  • One-year experience in procurement and contract management processes and procedures.
