The Information Management Branch (IMB) is looking for a programmer/developer comfortable with Java Scripting to join our fast-paced, dynamic branch. You’ll be responsible for building code for new features in our cloud- based ServiceNow application. This team within IMB works in multiple Agile SDLC environments and is responsible for configuring, maintaining and releasing code to support our ITSM project and initiatives. You enjoy building strong partnerships with stakeholders and staff.
The IMB, part of the Corporate Services Division, is a diverse team of information management, information technology, and business professionals. Under the MCIO mandate, we provide vision and oversight for IM/IT within the Ministry of Citizens’ Services, including the IM/IT corporate strategy, governance, policies, standards, infrastructure, applications, security and privacy, and other services.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree with 3 years of work experience;
OR Diploma in related field with 5 years of equivalent work experience;
OR Certification in related field with 7 years of equivalent work experience as an intermediate application developer.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL Server, Oracle database design, development, PL/SQL and Object Relational Modeling with different tools such as Entity framework and LINQ.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience in development of REST API and SOAP web services.
- Experience in using version control tools and issue tracking systems.
- Experience in data modelling, process modelling, and/or business area analysis techniques.
- Experience with responsive design techniques.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
