The Information Systems Branch is responsible for providing strategic IM/IT leadership for the Justice and Public Safety Sector, and for the provision of IM/IT services to support our sector program areas and stakeholders.  The branch includes four divisions:  MCIO Division, Client Services Division, IT Security, Privacy & Operations Division and the Strategic Initiatives Division.

The IT Security, Privacy & Operations Division is responsible for oversight and maintaining a stable, secure, and efficient operational environment for our sector clients and their business applications. Key services include information security and privacy, infrastructure support, liaison with central agencies and a Service Desk that supports sector staff and our broader stakeholders.

The Intermediate Service Transition Analyst provides technical expertise in the planning and management of the ministry’s application systems operation across multiple platforms, program areas and a variety of complex systems environments, including configuration, installation and integration services.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

• Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in computer science.

• Experience with complex client/server and web based applications. Preference may be given for 2 or more years of experience in this area.

• Preference may be given for experience with implementing applications using Salesforce or equivalent.

• Preference may be given for experience with Cloud Technologies.

• Knowledge of all aspects of application development using a System Development Life cycle (SDLC) and modern software engineering practices.

• Ability to work under pressure, independently or as part of a technical team.

• Excellent communication skills with a team-focused approach and a strong customer support focus.

• Ability to work on a variety of complex systems environments, including configuration, installation and integration services.
