The Information Management Branch is accountable to provide IM/IT leadership, advice and support in order to facilitate the achievement of innovative, cost-effective solutions that enable our clients to manage risk and be effective in the delivery of their programs.
In this position you will be the development lead on projects and operational maintenance in support of both custom-built solutions as well as COTS applications. In addition to software development, your robust technical skills include experience with configuration management, forms creation/ maintenance, templates, business objects and data table designs. Your expertise also includes assessing requests for change, investigating and determining solutions and implementing appropriately. Your duties will include design, develop, test and maintain custom-built applications, interfaces, reporting solutions and managing COTS applications of varying complexity and business significance to support business information objectives of multiple client organizations.
You have a thorough understanding and strong commitment to formal Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. You are passionate in your pursuit to provide excellent service by offering rigorous analysis, attention to detail and strong communication skills (verbal and written). You will be following industry best practices for software development and will use your position to provide business solutions within the Ministry of Finance

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree, diploma, certificate in computer science or related discipline; OR, A combination of education, training and equivalent experience may be considered.
- Equivalent experience must include a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in managing and supporting major business applications in multiple areas such as planning, designing, developing, supporting and/or maintaining applications.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, testing and implementing software and hardware solutions.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in investigating and implementing complex IT integration challenges.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience leading application development in project teams.
- Experience with structured and object orientated programming in a complex rules based environment.
