The successful candidate will lead a team in their exploration of new possibilities for the provision of central IT services as well as being instrumental in shifting our organization’s way of thinking about delivering technology. With the help of the team, the Technical Architect will also be at the forefront of defining how the BC government governs its critical IT systems, as well as redefining how IM/IT standards can bring tremendous value to our client ministries’ agile development teams.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in the computer/information/business sciences field AND a minimum of one (1) year of related* experience; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or training may be considered.
  • Preference may be given to those who have worked with public cloud services.

*Related experience must include:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in the creation of, and working with, business cases, architecture models, business requirements, and design specifications.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the Technical and/or Enterprise Architecture disciplines and related frameworks.
