The Software Engineer will manage the ministry corporate software architectural development environment and infrastructure across multiple environments and ministry/sector, mission critical applications and to provide technical expertise and standards to systems professionals developing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining ministry custom applications.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans transportation networks, provides transportation services and infrastructure, develops and implements transportation policies, and administers many related acts and regulations as well as federal-provincial funding programs, including the Building Canada Fund. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree in computer science field or business or equivalent and four years related experience*; or
- Diploma in computer science field or business or equivalent and six years related experience*; or
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent and ten years of related experience*.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising staff and teams within the last four years.
- *Related experience may include any of the following:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior technical architect or equivalent senior technical role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in software development, including integration and continuous development environments
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with relational databases.
