Located within, and as part of the Health Innovation Hub, the Health and Human Services Library serves clients in the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), as well as ministry contracted client groups.  The Library’s mission is: “Using library staff expertise, the Health and Human Services Library collaborates with clients to provide responsive evidence and information through: stewardship of a unique and specialized collection, the provision of 24/7 access to electronic resources, and the empowerment and education of clients.”  The Library also archives the MOH’s publications and maintains the Ministry’s Publications web site.

Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Management, the Manager, Library Services is responsible for planning, developing, managing and delivering library and information services; developing and ensuring that library policies are adhered to; and supervising library staff in their delivery of library and information services, for MOH and MCFD clients as well as ministry’s contracted client groups.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Master of Library Science degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university;
  • Five years’ experience in a management or supervisory level in a special library; and
  • Five years’ experience in budgeting and planning.
