Live-in caregiver for a child

Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent – 40-45 per week

Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible


  • 5+ years of Experience in dealing with young children, especially between ages of 4 to 10.
  • Education/certificates in early stage development or related field or fine arts.
  • Minimum of undergraduate degree preferably in the Fine Arts related discipline.
  • Understanding of Fine Arts, including painting, drawing, and crafts.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of math and science for age range of 4-10.
  • Has ability in creative arts including crafts, painting, and drawing.
  • Having experience with senior Middle Eastern parents with traditional beliefs and practices.
  • Great with children and be able to handle emotionally sensitive child.
  • Fluency in English

Nice to haves/assets:

  • Speak, write and read both Farsi and French.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Middle Eastern culture, traditions and holidays.
  • First aid certification and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Job Description:

  • Manage daily hygiene routines. That includes bathing, brushing tooth, combing hair, etc.
  • Get the child ready for school, such as preparing and serving breakfast, and packing lunch, and driving her to school in the morning.
  • Pick up the child from school and drive her to extracurricular activities, including sports, French class, and music class.
  • Assist the child with night time bed routine: brushing teeth, putting on pyjamas, and night time book reading.
  • Organize and take part in activities like homework. That includes drawings, language, and math, and craft, games, reading and outings.
  • perform daily household duties including grocery shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Take child to doctor appointments.
  • Discipline child in keeping methods customary in the household.
  • Keep records of activities and health information of the child.
  • Oversee child’s activities, snacks, and rest period.

Salary: $2500 – $2700 monthly – depending on experience
