Long-term Care Coordinator
We are hiring a permanent part time (0.80 FTE) Residential Care Coordinator to join our team at the South Similkameen Health Centre team located in the Keremeos. This position is also responsible for looking after Ridgewood Lodge in Princeton. Travel between two sites as per operational requirements will be needed.South Similkameen Health Centre is a Community Health Centre that offers a variety of services in one location. The types of services delivered depend on patient needs and on whether comparable services are available nearby. Community Health Centres do not have acute care beds, but may provide: basic laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long term residential care services; and/or on-site doctors’ offices.
Ridgewood Lodge has 37 private and semi-private rooms with ensuite washrooms. It is a one-level facility located adjacent to the Princeton General Hospital. Our resident-centered philosophy is designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.
We are seeking nurses with residential experience and strong leadership skills. The Residential Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for the coordination of day to day operations and quality resident care within a designated clinical area(s). This position supports the seamless movement of residents through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources.
The RCC also:
Shifts of work may be scheduled days, days of work are Tuesday to Friday and shift times are from 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

|Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).Three years of recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment and two years recent supervisory and teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

You are required to hold a valid BC Driver’s License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and /or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment.
