Position Summary
We are currently seeking a relief part time Long Term Care Nurse to join our team at F.W. Green Home in Cranbrook. F.W. Green Home embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is a 60 bed facility (53 residential beds), which is built on three levels, including a ground floor access basement. Two of the beds are Tertiary Geriatric: one is Rehabilitative and the other is Specialized Residential.

The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shifts of work are days and evenings, 07:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 23:00. There is on call with evening shifts. This relief position is scheduled to end July 31, 2020.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).

• Post – basic education in gerontology an asset.
