Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Ph.D, ED. D or PsyD  in Clinical or Counselling  Psychology.
    • NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES).
  • Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders.
  • 2 years of experience in clinical or counselling Child and Adolescent Psychology.
  • Registered psychologist with the BC College of Psychologists or capable of being registered within 18 months of being hired.
  • 1 year of experience conducting Therapeutic Assessments, particularly personality profiles.
  • 2 years of experience assessing and counselling LGBTQ children and youth
  • 1 year of experience supervising graduate and undergraduate counselling students.
