The BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) is a new statutory body responsible for regulating British Columbia’s financial services sector. We are looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference, to join our team in our downtown Vancouver offices.

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for contributing to BCFSA’s strategic Internal and External Communications Programs and Projects by developing and implementing effective plans, creating content, reviewing communications materials and supporting the communication initiatives targeted to enhance brand and reputation.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or English; and
- Experience in public relations, corporate communications or media relations in a large organization (preferably in a regulatory/governmental environment); OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in managing and leading internal and external communication programs and projects.
- Experience with public consultation and stakeholder engagement principles and techniques.
- Preference may be given to applicants with:
- IAP2 Certification (International Association for Public Participation)
- Accredited Business Communicator (ABC)
- Prosci Change Management Certification Training
