Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) team in Kelowna.

The successful applicant will work in a case management role with senior clients who have an age related psychiatric disorder. The position requires knowledge and experience in working with both psychiatric and age-related physical issues, as well as experience in working collaboratively with other community partners to ensure appropriate services and supports are in place.

The Registered Nurse provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Registered Nurse functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity until approximately September 2020. Days of work are Monday to Friday from 08:00-16:00. We offer competitive compensation and benefits and access to a range of employee services and programs to support you at every stage of your career.

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Two years’ of recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT), Adult Community Support Services (ACSS), Urgent Response, Elderly Services, Alcohol & Drug) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).

Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
