Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Community Recreation, the specialty Instructor plans, organizes and delivers classes. He/ She prepare class schedules. The Speciality Instructor assists in the design of recreational programs and implements changes as required. She/he also assists with advertising and public relations information, as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma AND some years experience conducting classes

OR

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered

AND

Current applicable speciality Certification (s) by a provincial or nationally recognized certifying organization

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.

 Language Requirement: English Mandatory

Experience Requirements:

  • In planning, organizing, and delivering classes
  • In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
  • In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
  • In providing customer service
  • In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing

Salary: $20.00/hr

Security:
